each ControlCenter-IP must be able to manage the connected end devices. This requires the necessary number of licenses. The MatrixGuard function allows any matrix switch within the MatrixGuard system to take over the role of the database leader if the original database leader fails or becomes inaccessible. This transition is performed automatically according to predefined rules. The participants in the MatrixGuard connect to the new leader, and the system resumes operation automatically. The full operation of the remaining components is ensured. Manual intervention is not required. When restarting the system, the option “restore connections” can be used to easily restore the last switching states. This ensures that operations can resume as quickly as possible. If the original database leader restarts, ongoing operations are not disrupted. If another participant (a former database follower) has taken over the role of the database leader in the meantime, the original leader automatically switches its role to follower mode. This ensures that any temporary changes to the database, such as renaming a computer module, are preserved.
