The »CrossDisplay-Switching« feature (CDS) lets you switch between computers by moving the mouse. To switch between computers, move the mouse cursor to the edge of the active monitor. When moving the mouse over the monitor edge, the CDS feature switches to the computer connected to the next monitor. The following G&D devices support the CDS feature: * Matrix switches of the series »DVICenter«, »ControlCenter-Compact« and »ControlCenter-Digital« when used with the optional »TradeSwitch function«. * KM switches of the TradeSwitch series Information on how to activate and configure the CDS feature is given in the manuals of the matrix switches as well as in the manual of the KVM switches of the »TradeSwitch-USB« series. 2. FUNCTION OF THE DRIVER When the CDS configuration includes a multi-monitor computer, the computer can be operated only when the graphics card driver supports combining multiple desktops to one single desktop. Install the »G&D CDS Multi-Monitor Support« driver if the installed graphic cards driver does not support combining multiple desktops or if you want to continue working with independent desktops. 3. INSTALLING THE DRIVER NOTE: To run the driver, make sure the »Kernel-Mode Driver Framework« (KMDF) version 1.11 or later is installed. If this is not the case, the framework is installed during the installation of the driver. Ensure that your system is activated for the installation. If necessary, run a Windows update. IMPORTANT: When installing the driver under »Windows XP«, first connect the G&D device (see list above) to the computer and turn it on. * Start the installation wizard provided for the computer’s operating system. * Follow the instructions of the installation wizard. After installing, the driver is ready for operation. NOTE: If you installed the driver under Windows XP while the G&D device was not connected or turned off, the driver may not be initialised properly. In this case, uninstall the driver as described under item 4. Connect the G&D device to the computer and turn it on. Repeat the installation as described above. 4. UNINSTALLING THE DRIVER * Open the Windows control panel. * Double-click »Programs and Features« (Windows 7) or »Software« (Windows XP). * Click »G&D CDS Multi-Monitor Support«. * Click »Uninstall«, and follow the instructions of the wizard.
